They say that music and mathematics speak universal languages. However, in Samobor, they have discovered that laughter also speaks a universal language. So, considering we already have a music festival, and mathematics is not highly appropriate material for fun events, we decided to come up with a circus street festival in Samobor - Cu’Fus.
Organized by the Samobor association “Cirkultura” in the middle of May, the town is overtaken by clowns, jugglers, street performers of all types and forms and streets are filled with laughter, shrieks, and shouts. The festival is international and puts Samobor in the circle of European cities that offer circus as a new form of cultural and tourist offer. For free, although it is a common courtesy to put some money in the performer’s hat.
Juggling, unicycle riding, wire walking, comedy, clowns, equilibrists, physical theatre, performers, street theatre, music, play with the spectators, laughter and fun have been connecting different generations of citizens, and the days stop being dull and grey. All are expected to come to Cu’Fus!
