Book house
Temporary homes for books are allowing people to leave books for someone else to read.
The staff at the Samobor’s public library is constantly thinking about how to make their fellow citizens read more books and make books more accessible to a wider audience. They came up with the answer: a book house.
These temporary homes for books have been set up on three locations: Matica hrvatska Square, Samobor bus station and Bregana, allowing people to leave books for someone else to read or see what someone else left for others to read.
This initiative is a part of the international project Little Free Library and its objective is to serve as a book exchange so that passers-by can leave their books or borrow a book someone else left, read it and, if they wish, return it back to the box.
